The Conquistadors Performing Arts Association is based in Binghamton, NY.  We are home to three unique performance ensembles.  Our flagship group is the Conquistadors Winterguard.  The guard is accepting members from 11 to 21 and competes in the Mid-York Colorguard Circuit.  The other two ensembles, the Conquistadors Drum & Bugle Corps and the Conquistadors Jazz Ensemble are currently in the developmental stages and are accepting volunteers of all ages.  Please take a look around our website and Enjoy your stay!

Conquistadors November Update
(November 15th, 2009 - Binghamton, NY)

A lot has been happening so far this season.  The guard is off to a great start with membership reaching the double digits.  The show is coming along at a great pace and we are well on track for a good showing this season.
The home page has taken on a new look that will hopefully create a more exciting glimpse at the website as well as better organization.  One of the links on the front page is to the new members forum.  Guard members and parents will now have access to a secure place to discuss topics related to the program as well as keep in touch.  If you are a member or parent and do not have access, please e-mail webmaster@conquistadorswinterguard.org with your name, relation to guard member (if you are a parent), and desired password.  You will receive a return e-mail when your account has become active.

October 16th Rehearsal Cancelled
(October 13th, 2009 - Binghamton, NY)

Rehearsal has been cancelled for October 16th.  Many of the members and staff are also involved with the guard program at Owego Free Academy.  The school district has expedited the installation of the campus' new stadium lights so the final home football game has been rescheduled to Friday night.  Please join us at our next scheduled rehearsal on Thursday, October 22nd at 4:00.

Membership Day is October 9th
(September 28th, 2009 - Binghamton, NY)

The Conquistadors Winterguard, an independent indoor colorguard from Binghamton, NY, will be beginning their 2009-2010 season on Friday, October 9th. Our first rehearsal will be at the First Church of the Nazarene in Owego, NY from 5:00-8:30. Membership is open to individuals between 11 and 21. We invite you to join us as we kick off our 2010 season and begin work on our show to the music of Michael Jackson's "Dirty Diana."

Message from the Director:
The Conquistadors Need Your Help
(July 15th,, 2009 - Binghamton, NY)

We have been in the process of finalizing our insurance policy for the upcoming year and we have everything squared away but I was informed today that unless our rehearsal facility receives our insurance paperwork, we are likely to lose our practice spot. Talk about not being able to get off the ground. This is our last major step to really get going and we are only $300 shy of being able to get the premium paid and squared away. I know the economy is really tough on everyone right now but if you can manage, please consider a donation.
I feel it is necessary to state that our staff does not get paid to teach. Every penny spent is directly for the benefit of our members.
We cannot offer you tax credit for your donation as of yet but what I can do as executive director is see to it that each and every person that makes a donation is listed on our website and sent a personal letter of gratitude and anyone that makes a donation over $10 will receive a supporter sticker for your car. I know it isn't much but I hope it is something.
Please consider making a donation and helping us out to get the program started. Our staff, members, and administration will be very grateful.

Conquistadors Announce 2010 Program
(June 28th,, 2009 - Binghamton, NY)

The Conquistadors Winterguard would like to officially announce intent to compete in the Mid York Colorguard Circuit in 2010. The program was set to perform in 2009 but unforeseen circumstances prevented the group from continuing further and it was decided to wait one more year.

With that we would like to also announce our show theme for the 2010 season will be Dirty Diana by Michael Jackson.

**Note from the Director: "In light of the recent tragedy of the death of Michael Jackson I felt it necessary to add that this is not a tribute show. We had decided on our show theme in April and have been finalizing plans before making this announcement. We had a meeting this past weekend to decide if we should choose a different show due to the inevitable flood of Michael Jackson Tribute Shows that will most likely be seen throughout the various circuits this season. We decided to continue as planned."

The Winterguard is also asking for donations to help us meet our financial goals for the season. If interested, please click the donate button above to make a contribution.** All donors will be listed on our site as a token of our appreciation.
